3. The Lithosphere

The domain of the earth consisting of solid rocks is the Lithosphere.

More information:

Lithosphere is the rigid, brittle outermost layer of the Earth. It consists on crust and solid portion of upper mantle. It is bounded by the atmosphere and upper mantle.

It has a depth of about 100 km. It is composed of a dozen separate, rigid blocks, or plates.

The rocks of the lithosphere are still considered elastic (not viscous). Learn more at: usgs.gov website
