2. Incident Objectives
In a Unified Command, members representing multiple jurisdictions and agencies work together to establish Incident Objectives.
Context:
Unity of command is the concept by which each person within an organization reports to only one designated person.
A unified command allows all agencies with responsibility for the incident, either geographic or functional, to manage an incident by establishing a common set of incident objectives and strategies.
Unified command does not mean losing or giving up agency authority, responsibility, or accountability.
