Question: Why is the Northern Hemisphere called the "Land Hemisphere"?

The Northern Hemisphere is called the 'Land Hemisphere' because

  • Major part of the Northern Hemisphere is covered with landmass (soil)
  • 5 out of 7 continents lies in this hemisphere
  • Asia, Europe, North America, and some part of Africa & South America lies in this northern region.

Therefore, the Northern Hemisphere called the Land Hemisphere.
