Factors such as our behavior, cognitive processes, and situational context; determine which behaviors in the environment a person chooses to imitate. These factors influence each other.

Reciprocal determinism is a model in which individual's behavior influences and is influenced by both the social world and personal characteristics. It is composed of three factors that influence behavior: the environment, the individual, and the behavior itself.

Consider, for example, that you're at a festival and one of the attractions is bungee jumping from a bridge. Do you do it? In this example, the behavior is bungee jumping.
