1. The Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon is a popular tourist attraction in Iceland.
More info:
1.) The Blue Lagoon: The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa in southwestern Iceland. The lagoon is man-made. The water is a byproduct from the nearby geothermal power plant 'Svartsengi'.
The spa is located in a lava field near Grindavík and in front of Mount Þorbjörn on Reykjanes Peninsula.
The water's milky blue shade is due to its high silica content. The silica forms soft white mud on the bottom of the lake which bathers rub on themselves. The water is also rich in salts and algae.
2. The Colosseum: The Colosseum is an oval amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. It is just east of the Roman Forum. It is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built, and is still the largest standing amphitheatre in the world today, despite its age.
3. Geirangerfjord: The Geiranger Fjord is a fjord in the Sunnmøre region of Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located entirely in the Stranda Municipality. It is a 15-kilometre long branch off the Sunnylvsfjorden, which is a branch off the Storfjorden.
The small village of Geiranger is located at the end of the fjord where the Geirangelva river empties into it.
